Walter Smith

I hear on the news that Walter Smith has signed a new contract with Rangers for one year. They say that it will be his final year in football.

I really didnt think he would sign a contract and in fact I thought he would have left Rangers this summer.

I think after all that he has done for Rangers he deserves one final year and then relax and forget about management. He has been outstanding in his career and can do no more for Rangers

hello

This evening I went to my friends house to play Tiger Woods 10 offline as they currently dont have an internet connection. We played two rounds of 18 holes and I won both. we had a good chat and much laughing. We had a bottle of beer each and a cream cake. mmmm.I went round at 8pm and didnt get home till midnight.

A lovely day

This morning I went to an old friends house. I have not seen them for a very long time. it was nice seeing them again.

This afternoon, my brother and I spend some time playing golf together. It has been a year since we played and it took me maybe 3 holes to get back into the swing of it. Once I got going I played reasonably well. Not great but passable. I am going to play more often and hopefully I will get better as time goes by. The sun was shining and I had a really good time. it is a pleasure playing golf in the sun. Best of all it is good exercise. I am really unfit and i felt the exercise done me good.

When I arrived back in Grangemouth I went to a resturaunt and had a steak meal and a glass of beer, so I feel really content and happy just now

I am now going to the supermarket then I am going back to my friends house to play playstation.

congratulations

Well done to Dundee Utd for winning Saturday Scottish Cup final. They deserved to win as they have had a magnificent season.

Also, although it sticks in my throat, well done Chelsea for winning the English League and Cup double

Barcelona has been Europes finest side and at the weekend they won the Spanish League title, well done to them.

Also in the Italian League Inter Milan and Jose Mourinho won the title.

Well done and congratulations to them all

hiya

yesterday I went back to work after spending a week on holiday. My holiday was spent at home doing very little but I still enjoyed the relaxation. I spend most of the week either playing on Playstation 3 or watching TV. My idea of heaven.

Actually I was glad to go back to work because I felt my art of conversation was waning as I virtually had no one to talk to all week. The only time I conversed was with shopkeepers when I asked them for things ha ha ha..

Yesterday at work was a reletively quiet night with no real tension. I made a fair number of tips and getting from one single customer over £5. Wow brilliant.

My wages werent in the shop which means I must go to head office and collect them today which is a bit of a pain, but never mind.

My car insurance is due and now I must organise a direct debit arrangement to spread the cost. This I will do today.

Today I am going to be spending some time chatting online with my friend Rui. I hope he is feeling better because he had a good night last night and now has a headache. Ah drink, what more can I say ha ha ha

My Friend Rui

Just spent a wonderful hour in the company of my dear friend Rui. We had a lovely conversation and a good laugh together. It has been far too long since we had a good chat.

Blood Test

Today I got a letter from the Doctor asking me if I could make an appointment in reference to the results of the blood test I had last week. He said not to worry as it is just a little chat about the results but you cant help but worry. It is in my nature. I hope everything is ok. My appointment is for a fortnight today

First Day of Holiday

Today is the first day of my weeks holiday and I made a decision to do virtualy nothing today. I spent the day playing Tiger Woods 10 on Ps and watching TV. Apart from going to the supermarket I never even left the house. Tomorrow I will do a lot more, what , I havent made a decision but one thing I will do is to talk with Rui on Hot Mail. It has been a week since we last chatted and I am really looking forward to it.

Relegation

That is it, Falkirk are relegated. The final score was 0..0 and this wasnt enough. Falkirk needed a win. It went down to the very last game of the season, but if we look at the season Falkirk have been hanging around the bottom of the league all season and really do not deserve to keep their SPL place. All the same it is all very sad and I have a big pain inside for the boys from my local club. Lets hope they can bounce straight back up COME ON FALKIRK !!!!

Too much tension

My local football club, Falkirk FC are fighting for their lives today. They have an away game at Kilmarnock and they need to get a win to remain in the SPL. If they draw or lose then they will be relegated thus losing 2 million pounds. If Kilmarnock lose then they will be relegated and if this happens they might go bust they are in so much financial difficulties. It is winner takes all. There is 10 minutes to play and the score is 0..0 I am listening on the radio and the tension is strong. My hopes and prayers go to the Falkirk boys. COME ON FALKIRK !!!!

Up in the air

The results are in and we still have no clear idea about who will govern this country. The conservatives have the most seats and the most votes but still do not, and will not have a majority large enough to automatically form a govenment. Meanwhile Mr Brown the sitting Prime Minister will not resign and he hopes to continue in the position by making a pact with the LibDems. Meanwhile our country waits and wonders. From a personal point of view I worry greatly that the Conservatives look like they will become the governing party and David Cameron will be Prime Minister. If this comes about then may God have mercy on all of us in this country.

Election

I was at the polling station this afternoon to cast my vote for the MP I think would do a good job for me personally. I put aside the big picture about Prime Minister, that would take care of itself. I concentrated on the local picture and decided to stick with the same MP that we have had for the past 9 years in this area. He is Labour, the same as the current Prime Minister. I hope I have done the correct thing. The guy I voted for has been good for the local community and this is why I came down on his side.

Car Headlight

I went to buy a new bulb for my car today and I was expecting to play maybe !.50 or something in that range. You can imagine my shock when I was told it would be £7. I had no other option but to get it because I would be needing it for tonight. I also had to get a boy to fit it for me because I was unsure what to do. I had to give him a tip also for his efforts. Cost me in total £10. An absolute rip off.

My Life

It is back to work day for me after 2 relaxing days off. Not too bad this week as it is only a four day week this week for me. On Saturday night after I finish my shift, I am on holiday for exactly one week. So I am just going to get my head down and work hard this week, try to earn some cash for next week and soon it will be holiday, holiday, holiday.wooo hoooo!!!

The General Election

We are getting bombarded by political talk and spin whenever we turn on the media at the moment and I for one will be glad when its all over. You would think there was no other news going on in this country. Its labour, tory or libdem, brown, cameron or clegg. Policies, mandates and issues. I know its important but why hit us every time we switch TV on. I understand people havent made up their mind which way to vote yet, I am one of them, but come on enough already. The Election is tomorrow so hopefully after then things will get back to normal and the new government whoever they are better get things right.

volcanic ash

I see in the news that the ash cloud has returned and a lot of the airports, especially in Scotland have had to close again. While this may be a huge inconvienience to many people they must see the bigger picture. If the ash gets into the engine it can cause the engines to shut down and the consequences are unthinkable. I watched a documentary about this where a plane flew into ash a few years ago and it was by pure luck and the grace of God that hundreds of lives werent lost. So I think people must step back from the hustle and bustle of their lives and the must be here or there now mentality and just remember what may happen if the plane they are in should ever fly into the ash. There are other ways to travel, slower ways, yes, but safer ways too.

New York

I see on the news that a car was parked in a busy part of New York with a bomb inside, that could have killed thousands. I really do not understand why people would do something like this. It is beyond belief. Do people have no morality or decency now. What must they be thinking of when they are planting bombs where women and children will be. OMG it is hard to understand

My Weekend

Yesterday was a very quiet day in my life where nothing really important happened. I just did the staff run and came home for lunch. I started work at 4pm and after a reletively smooth day at work I got home at 9pm. I just watched TV then played some Tiger Woods golf on Playstation before emailing my dear friend Rui. I then called it a day and went to bed.

This morning I checked my email hoping that Rui had sent me an email and send him one. I then had a look at the news pages on www.bbc.co.uk then listened to the sport on the radio.

Today I am hoping for another quiet day. I am waiting for the phone call to tell me to pick up the staff. Today is stock day, which means my little car will be put under stress again. I think I start at 5pm tonight and dont finish till 1am but that is ok, I can handle it because tomorrow is my off day and I will be able to relax. I had a look at my Calender last night and I have to go to the nurse on Tuesday to have a blood test. I completely forgot all about it so lucky I checked my calender or I would have missed my appointment.

Bribe Scandel

I have just watched the News of The Worlds video of snooker world champion John Higgins, a scotsman, agreeing to take a bribe to throw snooker frames. If this is genuine and Higgins did indeed take a bribe it would probably destroy snookers excellent reputation and would kill off Higgins career. I personally would be very disappointed from the fact that a Scotsman could do something like this. It just shows you, you never really know someone really
