Well, here we go. Friday again. Today is the day that Scotland start their quest for qualification for Euro 2012. I really hope they can qualify.
I am just out of bed and the first thing I did was check my emails and I received one from Rui. I returned his email and am now going to have breakfast. I got a message through saying that I had a comment on one of the videos I posted on You Tube. The first of many I hope.
......
I have just returned from the staff run. What a glorious day it is here. I hope it isnt the summer saying goodbye.
I want to make a comment on the guy who is the manager of the shop where I work. You know, I dont know whether he is just an impolite man or whether the stress of the job is taking over his job but everyone else who comes into my car always says hello, and goodbye when they get in and out. This manager man very rarely says hello and goodbye. In all the journey he barely speaks to me. They talk amongst themselves in Punjabi and completely leave me out of their conversations. This alienates me and is it any wonder I get angry at them.
Anyway forget about them. I would really like to sit outside in the sunshine but I dont know where to go. I do not start work until 6pm today and the idea of me sitting in this dark flat while the sun shines outside seems all wrong to me. I will have some lunch then I will go out, even if it is just to sit in my car and read a book or something. The problem is that I need to keep an eye on the time but I do not own a watch.
.........
I decided to take my car and find a nice spot to park, in the sun. I opened my windows and closed my eyes. There isnt too many thinks than closing your eyes and falling asleep in the sunshine.
I went to work at 6pm and suprisingly for me, it wasn't very busy. I thought it would be a whole lot busier what with the football being on. It did get a little busier around the time of the final whistle. The last hour of the night was quite busy and by that time I was on my own as the other two drivers had, by this time went home. Honestly, I cannot believe the number of people who eat all that heavy food in the early hours of the morning. Surely it cannot be good for their health eating all that rubbish at 1am. In fact, believe it or not the last delivery was a 27 inch pizza, to a party of young people at 130am. It was a pain for me because this meant I was late in finishing. I don't know who is the more greedier. The people who order pizzas at 130am or the boss who only sees £££££££ and completely forgets about the staff wanting to go home.
Now the football. Scotland had a very poor night tonight. I honestly thought they would win away at Lithuania. However they could only manage a nil, nil draw. This means that they must go to prague, next month and get something from Czech Republic, because its odds on that the Czechs will go to Lithuania and win. We must win all our home games also, but we have Spain in our group and the chances of the Scots beating Spain, either away or at Hampden Park are extreamly slim. Spain will win the group, of that there is no doubt. Scotland must battle with the Czechs for second spot.
When I eventually arrived home I had a little food and settled down to watch my favourite programme on TV, MEDIUM. and now it is time to go to bed as I am very tired.
